POLLINATORS

While taking walks with my husband we usually talk about my next batch of work. Around this time,I had the emotional pull to create more hummingbird inspired works. But I didn’t want to paint only hummingbirds because I’ve already done an entire collection of hummingbirds in the past. My husband had the grand idea to create a batch based off different creatures that pollinate! It also gave me the opportunity to paint more bats!

Each painted mug is decorated with colorful glazes and adorned with carved or painted flowers. To expand the collection, I also created golden honeybee mugs, ladybug mugs, hummingbird planters, and a variety of carved flower mugs.

I held a mug auction to donate to Bat World Sanctuary, a lifetime sanctuary given to non-releasable bats, including those that are orphaned, injured and rescues hundreds of bats from the exotic pet trade, zoos, and research facilities. Together we raised, $195.
