  • I create a new batch of work every 2-3 months. Keep up with me on Instagram or Facebook for updates!

  • The truth is I don’t know when or if I’ll be creating more. My inspiration changes often with life experiences. I enjoy keeping things fresh with new ideas. All of my painted animal mugs are one-of-a-kind originals. I never use the same reference photo twice which makes each one so special. Ya never know, I might revisit a past idea but don’t hold your breath.

  • Before you purchase anything, you should always double check your information! If there is an issue, please email me ASAP, brooke@batsceramics.com I will fix the mistakes on the shipping labels, but it is your responsibility to change your own information on your customer account for future purchases!

  • Yes! I will combine shipping and refund applicable shipping overages. Please be aware that multiple ceramic pieces in one box means more packaging material which creates more weight resulting in a higher cost. I will only combine shipments if it is safe to do so.

  • No. To make it fair for everyone, items are first come first serve.

  • Yes!! International packages are shipped flat rate $55 USD. $10 extra for multiple items in the package! *CANADA shipping is $38 USD with an extra $8 for multiple items in the same package. Buyer is responsible for any customs fees or taxes. Please don’t hesitate to ask if your country is on my shipping list! If not, I’ll gladly add it if I’m able to ship!

  • No! Every ceramic piece is handmade from clay.

  • Every painting is one-of-a-kind created using Amaco, Speedball, Mayco and Spectrum underglaze. I use mid-fire commercial glazes made from Laguna, Amaco, Spectrum, Coyote, and Mayco. Fired at cone 6 in a Skutt 1027 kiln. Most of my underglaze paintings are not clear glazed, meaning they have a matte rough clay surface.

  • I am very fortunate to have a small home studio with a Skutt kiln in the basement!

  • If you have an Instagram, I have exclusive content on my Subscriber page such as painting demonstrations, underglaze tips, behind the scenes, and glaze combinations. It costs $2.99 USD monthly. Sign up on my Instagram page @batsceramics under the crown icon. Subscription is only available on a smart phone!

  • Yes! Most of my work is microwave safe! All exposed unglazed areas have been sealed with a water resist, food, microwave, and dishwasher safe liquid quartz. Pieces with gold or Mother of pearl luster are NOT microwave or dishwasher safe! Unless you want to see sparks fly!

  • This is completely normal! Many pieces ting when they are newly hatched from the kiln! Some artists have had pieces known to ting years after use! They also call the tinging sounds the mug singing.

  • This is crazing! It is very common! I own many mugs from other artists which have crazed and nothing bad has happened! Studies show that with proper cleaning with hot water, crazing should have no negative effects. I suggest rinsing your mug after using so no dark liquid sits in it overnight. Zoom in on listing photos to see glaze effects. Ceramics are subject to crazing over time no matter the glaze! Studies show that cleaning your crazed pottery in the dishwasher kills most bacteria because of the hot water and steam.

  • After opening your package always wash your new pottery with hot soapy water before using! Do not stack your pottery in the sink to avoid chipping. Avoid thermal shock by not freezing your pottery or pour boiling water into a cold mug! Thermal shock happens when ceramic changes temperature drastically creating cracks through the ceramic causing hair line cracks which eventually leak. Run warm water over your mug before pouring boiling water into it!

  • For many reasons, I no longer create custom work.

  • $15-400 USD

I offer After Pay, which splits the price into multiple payments!

  • All orders ship within 1-4 business days via USPS from New York. You will receive an email with a tracking number!

  • I try my best to pack each item carefully to ensure its safe arrival using reused and recyclable packaging materials! Some packing peanuts are biodegradable! Just pour water over them and they will dissolve! I urge you to reuse or recycle all packaging material to the best of your ability.

  • Usually, if items are on sale, it is because of aesthetic imperfections (glaze defects, etc.), or I’ve had the piece for too long to make space for new work. Please read the description of each item carefully and look through all photos! Please be aware that all pieces are handmade, having nuances which give the handmade touch.

  • Please email me Brooke@batsceramics.com, with your order number ASAP. I will not accept cancelations after 18 hours of the order.

  • I do not except exchanges or returns. Please look through all photos and read descriptions to know exactly what you are purchasing! I try my best to photograph everything in bright natural light. Glaze colors may differ in dim artificial lighting.

  • If your item is damaged in shipment, please email me immediately Brooke@batsceramics.com with photos of the broken product and box it was shipped in! Refunds will not be issued unless it is the same day of delivery with proof of damage.

  • Once the package is delivered to the post office it is out of my hands. I cannot be held responsible for shipping delays, lost or stolen packages. Please contact your local post office and check your tracking number history! Even if your tracking has not changed, please visit your local post office because it might be there!
